I am an object maker compelled to seek out the beauty in the banal and the discarded. I draw inspiration from nature and industrial environments such as workshops, warehouses and garages. Through collecting, re-shaping and modelling, I often work sequentially using a single object that I cast and repeat to re-purpose. My process involves making highly detailed silicone rubber moulds to replicate parts of the body, fruits, vegetables and found objects in concrete, bronze and aluminium. I am intrigued by the exchange between the mind and body and the environment that plays host to it. My work is curious, it explores the parallels between the natural world, the human body and industrial landscapes.
